      Information about the programme<\/h4>\n
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      Plant protection is a very important and, at the same time, difficult element of plant production.\u00a0This field of study provides extended knowledge in the area of:<\/strong>\u00a0monitoring pathogens and pests in agricultural, horticultural and forest crops, plant resistance to environmental factors,\u00a0crop protection\u00a0against weeds and weather phenomena, pesticide ecotoxicology, sustainable plant protection. Students learn methods and techniques of plant protection, including non-chemical and chemical methods to control harmful organisms in accordance with the principles of integrated pest management (IPM).<\/p>\n

      The graduate acquires skills to<\/strong>\u00a0identify pathogens, pests and symptoms of non-infectious plant diseases using various diagnostic tools.\u00a0Student gains the ability to<\/strong>\u00a0choose methods of reducing pests in crops and the human environment, learns the binding legal regulations in the field of plant protection and organization of phytosanitary control, has knowledge of running business, rules and techniques of advisor work and obtaining\u00a0European Union funds<\/strong>\u00a0for projects in agriculture.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n <\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

        Knowledge and\u00a0practical skills gained during the studies allow the graduates to<\/strong> take up an interesting job and to embody their own passions and interests.<\/p>\n

        The graduate will be prepared to work in:<\/u><\/strong><\/div>\n

        \u2022 state offices related to the control of plant products (border points for plant inspections in the country and in the European Union countries, (e.g. State Plant Protection Inspection),<\/p>\n

        \u2022 analytical laboratories,<\/p>\n

        \u2022 agricultural advisory centres,<\/p>\n

        \u2022 companies dealing with the protection of urban greenery,<\/p>\n

        \u2022 scientific units,<\/p>\n

        and also will be able to:<\/p>\n

        \u2022 run his own business (plant production and distribution of plant protection products),<\/p>\n
